Quality, environmental, safety and energy policy statement

Hüttenes-Albertus’ vision is to be the most innovative company, to create superior value for customers and be the preferred partner for foundries worldwide. This is the basis for all of our decisions and our guiding corporate mission for the future.  

As an industrial company, we bear a special responsibility towards our customers, our employees, society and the environment.

To fulfil our responsibilities, we ensure that all of our business decisions and actions comply with our Code of Conduct. We guarantee compliance with the rigorous application of Hüttenes-Albertus’ professional structures for environmental, health, safety and quality management.

We are proud of our management systems, which have been tested and certified according to the latest quality, energy and environmental standards. 

 

Quality policy

1. For HA, quality means understanding and meeting the requirements and expectations of our customers, employees, business partners and shareholders in every respect.

2. As a customer-oriented company with a commitment to quality, we strive to identify and exploit opportunities, minimise risks and continually improve our processes and results. To ensure this in the long term, we apply a quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 as a binding standard for all relevant company divisions and employees.

3. The directors, management and all executives prioritise our commitment to quality in all of their strategic decisions and exemplify it in their daily actions.

4. All employees are actively encouraged to take responsibility for quality and are supported by the following measures:

  • Modern and state-of-the-art facilities, plants and work equipment 
  • Investments in technologies to increase productivity and Efficiency
  • General regulation of responsibilities and processes for all quality-relevant activities
  • Promotion of holistic, process-oriented thinking that employs the latest methods of interdisciplinary cooperation
  • Documentation and transfer of knowledge through training, discussions, regular meetings and an internal HA communication platform

 

Environmental, safety and energy policy

1. Environmentally friendly and energy-efficient management are important corporate goals for Hüttenes-Albertus and are anchored in our leadership principles.

2. We integrate environmental and energy considerations into all operational decisions, including planning and procurement. We take appropriate measures to minimise the general environmental impact of our production processes and products, as well as their impacts on our immediate neighbourhood, and to prevent hazards, such as those caused by potential accidents.

3. Emission volumes and energy consumption are measured regularly and potential for improvement is identified and implemented. We are committed to providing the resources necessary to achieve our goals.

4. Committees for energy, environmental and safety management support the process owners in the implementation of set targets. Appropriate communication initiatives help to ensure that all employees are aware of their responsibility for environmental protection, energy efficiency and safety through.

5. HA recognised environmental protection as an opportunity for the foundry industry decades ago. With this in mind, we systematically promote product developments aimed at protecting the environment. We research and develop input materials that help our customers to reduce emissions in their production processes and to keep raw materials in circulation.

6. The basis for our environmental and energy policy is an environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001 and an energy management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001. We strive to meet or even exceed all legal regulations and guidelines, the industry standards we have adopted and the specifications provided by our customers.
